Introduction

EcoPost 3.1.Homer Watson Park near Kitchener’s Fairview Park Mall is great site for a post-shopping picnic or a stroll among the hemlocks. If you have out of town visitors, the bluff over the Grand River offers the best view in town.

By car, Homer Watson Park is best accessed from Wilson Avenue or from Huron Road, Kitchener.

There is a small parking lot on Wilson Avenue.

Old Mill Trail, a road at the south end of the park also allows access to the extensive trail system.

The Trans Canada Trail allows foot, bike and ski access.

You can make Homer Watson House and Gallery a destination on your walk. 

By Bus: Reach Homer Watson Park from the North via Wilson Ave. There is a car park at the end of Wilson.. This entrance is serviced by bus routes 10 and 110 from the Fairview Ion terminal. From the South you can reach Homer Watson Park via Mill Park Dr./Huron Rd. where there is another car park. Bus service at the South end is via Route 110 with the nearest bus stop being Green Valley Drive at Pioneer Drive. From here it’s a couple of minutes walk to the Park.

There is no boat access from the Grand River: The bluff is too steep
Dogs are allowed if leashed
There are several ways to get here by bike, but the site is not generally suitable for cycling except for a main north-south trail
