Introduction

EcoPost 7.1. A trail runs the whole length of elongated Stanley Park. This path runs through woodlands and old fields, as well as past wetlands. For this site we’ve lined up some gentle invaders! Meet winter finches that invade from the Canada’s North, and plants that are occupying this site under natural conditions, also some introduced from elsewhere. Likewise, meet the voles that would over-run the place but for their predators.

Where Next?
From to April to July you will find Kitchener’s breeding peregrine falcons in downtown Kitchener at EcoPost 8. Visit beautiful Rockway Gardens, Kitchener Market or the Stanley Ponds Optimists Natural Area on the Walter Bean Grand River Trail. On a wet or cold day, try the Cambridge Butterfly Conservancy.
